Root Philosophy New Jersey
Starting on Labor Day 1998, Bryan and Patrick got together with Ed after playing and writing for some time. The band later
recruited Joel, who’d been a close friend of Ed’s.
The band settled on the name Root Philosophy, based on the titles of works by Alex Haley and P.F. Strawson. The band played their first show at the Cove in Roselle, New Jersey on April 8th '98
